I hope everyone had a wonderful holiday break! The family is gone, the house is clean, dogs and cats are fed, and I am finally able to get back into Ingor and Mat's story! I am really excited to watch their story form. It's always been a peeve of mine to read a book with a well established couple and no back story, on the flip side I dislike tons of flashbacks. So, I find this a fun challenge to show a couple, get the reader to really know them without the flashbacks, and then BAM! (The Bam is in place of the plot parts I don't want to disclose at this point).

Also, my first reviews are coming in for Taken. It's interesting to see. This is the first thing I have ever put out there and have been given true and honest reviews on; some good and some not. The not good ones, though, have some insightful comments that I appreciate. So, I will take it in stride and move forward.

I wanted to wish everyone a Happy Holiday’s this week. Whatever holiday you celebrate, wherever you are, may it be merry!

Things are going to be slow as far as posting with all the family having arrived this week. I will say my book release went well, and the reviews are coming in!

As “story buttons” go, this novel presses quite a number of my personal ones. A dragon shifter? Check. A mate who is independent, strong, and will stand up for himself? Check. Male pregnancy? How fun. Double check. Additionally, I am always curious to read books by new-to-me writers, and this first publication definitely looked promising based on the blurb. With a world that includes evil hunters, an interesting dragon reproductive cycle, and a few candidates for pairings in further volumes in this series, I was not disappointed and, even better, things are looking hopeful for future books.

Sebastian is fighting hard to maintain his independence. He writes gay paranormal romances (which made me chuckle), but doesn’t earn enough to make a living. Bartending provides him with an additional source of income, and even though neither his brother nor his best friend want him to work at a BDSM club, Sebastian has applied and is determined to make it work. He is more than a little kinky himself (in secret and behind closed doors), so he is hoping to see some action. Things do not go as he expected, but his vivid imagination and chosen genre stay him in good stead as he works through one revelation after another. The one thing he doesn’t figure out until it is almost too late is who the bad guy is. For once, it was clear to me from the beginning – but that was more due to my suspicious nature than based on any clues. Whether or not you figure it out as well, I think the story offers enough suspense, interesting twists, and fascinating interactions between the characters to keep you entertained.

Gavin is a dragon lord, but not your typical alpha. Well, he does keep saying he is not a wolf, but you know what I mean. He is a leader, owns the BDSM club Sebastian wants to work at, and has everyone fawning over him. Meanwhile his agenda is to bring the dragons under his care into modern times, but he is fighting an uphill battle. Apparently these dragons are quite the traditionalists. Gavin is delighted when he identifies Sebastian as his mate, but hesitant to tell him the truth. Both about Gavin being a dragon and about the fact Sebastian is about to become a father. When the hunters abduct Sebastian, let me tell you, Gavin wasn’t the only one upset. And I didn’t like the turn of events any better than Gavin. Grrrr. But I guess it made for a more suspenseful read, and gave the novel more emotional depth.

If you like dragon shifters and male pregnancy, if you enjoy stories about men who have to fight horrible villains and tragedy to be together, and if you’re looking for an entertaining read with lots of emotion and quite a bit of heat, then you will probably like this novel. I definitely look forward to the second installment.

Life is simple. The only thing Sebastian Michael needs is a steady paycheck. Sebastian values his independence too much to let his secretive brother, Ed, pay his bills. He tried selling his paranormal romances with little luck. Looking for a steady job, he soon stumbles into a dragon's den pretending to be a BDSM club. Gavin Thorvald, the dragon lord and club owner, recognizes Sebastian as his mate and begins to woo the sweet human. Gavin worries about how to explain a dragon's reproductive cycle while Sebastian fears his past is catching up with him.
At the same time, hunters are attacking and Ed is taking an interest in Sebastian's new life. Just when Gavin has everything he wants, Sebastian is taken from him by the hunters. Gavin fears the worst as he heals from the hunters' attack. Once healed, Gavin begins a race against the clock to find his mate and save their egg.

A Siren Erotic Romance

Final edits were just turned in to the publisher! Taken, Dragon’s Egg 1 will be coming out soon! I am about 15,000 words into part two, which focuses on Mat and Ingor.

Hello! So, I attempted to write a blog last year as I was writing my story, but I had no consistency to the posts. Now, my book is signed with a publisher and after reading the contract I needed to take the bit I did write down, as it contained pre published and un edited excerpts from the story. So, I now have a clean slate and will, hopefully, be more consistent with the blogging!

I am really excited to say my book has been picked up by a publisher! I never imagined when I first sat down to write it that someone would pick it up; I was just writing for myself. I plan to write a sequel to the book and now I am more motivated than ever to get that going. I also have a four book series I've been writing, I am on part four right now, so hopefully I can get that out as well. Exciting times are coming and I am really excited to see where this new adventure goes.
